Terms of Use
The agreement for using Tokn, including how Premium subscriptions, trials, renewals and cancellations work.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Aman Shafeek. By using Tokn you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to apps from the App Store; if anything conflicts, these terms apply for Tokn.
What Tokn is
Tokn helps you limit distracting apps you choose: using them spends tokens, and productive actions earn tokens. Tokn is a self-control tool, not medical, psychological or professional advice. Blocking depends on Apple’s Screen Time features and your device settings; it may not stop every use, and you can always remove limits.
Tokens have no money value
Tokens, streaks and rewards exist only inside Tokn. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money or anything else, and they may be adjusted to fix errors or misuse.
Free and Premium
Tokn’s core features are free. Premium adds more apps, schedules, budgets and earning options, as listed on the Plan screen. Premium is available as:
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions that renew automatically.
- A lifetime purchase, paid once, with no renewal.
Subscriptions, trials and renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings, or in Tokn under Settings → Plan → Manage or cancel plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country. If a price changes, Apple will notify you as its rules require.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
Don’t reverse engineer, resell or misuse Tokn, interfere with how it works, or use it to monitor anyone else’s device without their permission.
Your data
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Tokn is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will block every app in every situation. To the extent the law allows, Aman Shafeek isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Tokn in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Changes and ending
We may update Tokn and these terms. We’ll tell you in the app about important changes before they apply. You can stop using Tokn anytime by deleting it; cancel any subscription first in your App Store account.
