Questions.
Do I have to start a timer when I open an app?
No. Once you pick your apps, Tokn counts the minutes automatically through Screen Time and takes the tokens for you.
What happens when I run out of tokens?
Your limited apps show a calm shield. Earn more with a focus session or anything on the rate board, wait for the next session, or use an emergency unlock if you truly need it.
Can Tokn see what I do in my apps?
No. Apple’s Screen Time framework gives Tokn opaque references to the apps you choose, never their names, contents or your messages.
Is it just another app blocker?
Blockers say no. Tokn says “not yet”. You keep some scrolling, it just has a price, and the things you’d rather be doing pay for it.
Do I need an account?
No. Accounts are optional. Sign in with Apple or email if you want your tokens and streak backed up across reinstalls.
Which devices does it support?
Tokn is made for iPhone. It runs on Apple’s Screen Time, so Screen Time needs to be available and not restricted on the device.
